Educational Career Training Program

Program Overview

Home Health Aides — also known as Care Workers — provide essential support to elderly, disabled, or recovering individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes. They assist with daily living activities, monitor health conditions, offer companionship, and help clients maintain independence and dignity. Home Health Aides also known and called Care Workers in some countries provide essential support for the elderly, disabled, or ill individuals, assisting with daily activities like grooming, meal prep, and medication reminders to foster independence. This program prepares the student to use his/her nursing assistant skills in the home setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The home Health Aide is prepared to function as a home maker for clients helping them live in the comfort of their own homes while they are rehabilitating. A Home Health Aide is an essential member of a healthcare team. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, they may bathe, dress, feed, mobilize and transport people; obtain temperature, pulse and blood pressure measurements; and report observations and reactions.

Our Home Health Aide Program prepares students to deliver safe, compassionate care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Students learn personal care skills, basic nursing procedures, communication techniques, household management, and how to support clients physically, emotionally, and socially.

Upon completion, graduates receive a Certificate of Completion from the school, sit for HHA test in the training institution and if they pass the exam at the school, the school will submit their name to CDPH where they will be credentialed through the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and receive a certification as Home Health Aides from CDPH
