Educational Career Training Program

Program Overview

A Patient Care Technician (PCT) is an entry-level allied health professional who provides direct, daily care to patients under the supervision of nurses and doctors. They work in hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics, assisting with vital signs, hygiene, feeding, mobility, and specialized tasks. Patient Care Technicians are compassionate, skilled healthcare professionals who provide hands‑on support to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and clinics. They work under the supervision of nurses and physicians, delivering essential daily care and performing specialized clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, specimen collection, and mobility assistance.

Our Patient Care Technician Program prepares students with the technical skills, clinical knowledge, and professional competencies needed to excel in direct patient‑care roles. Students learn how to assist with personal care, monitor vital signs, support rehabilitation services, and communicate effectively as part of a healthcare team.

Upon completion, graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible to sit for the National Patient Care Technician Certification Exam through Healthcare Professionals Competency Testing (HPCT).
